Road Trip: Day one!

July 22nd

Well, our intended target for the 1st night was Las Vegas. We only got as far as Grand Junction, Co because our little Monster got car sick. We had to make an emergency pit stop, clean it up as best we could then we stopped for dinner. After dinner it was pretty late so I asked jer to find us a hotel on his ipad. I told him anything as long as it has laundry facilities! Well, jer found a place to stay all right and it was the grossest inn I have ever seen. There were cigarette burns on the bedding, splatters of some fluid on the walls and black stuff growing on the carpet and baseboards. I was afraid to let the kids bare feet touch the floor. Luckily the sheets looked clean enough so we slept in  just the sheets and I cleaned the carseat and clothing in the sink because there was NOT any laundry facility!!! Needless to say, we hopped right up in the morning and high tailed it out of there ASAP!

Our 1st eggs!!

We got our 1st chicken egg the Day that we left for Vegas! It was one of the Americana eggs because it was a pretty aqua blue. It was so tiny too!

We asked our friends the Luceros to let the chickens out and feed them while we were gone. They had such a hard time with them because they kept flying out of the yard! When we got back Jer watched a You tube video on how to clip their wings and we did it. They haven't gotten out since! hehe

Pioneer Day!

July 21st

The day before we left for Shayla's wedding, the primary put on a Pioneer Day. There was water balloon fighting, drain the swam, sugar cube temples and sack races! So much fun!!!

Rockies Game!

We got tickets through Jer's work again to go see a Rockies game! it was year of the fan day so we got a TON of these rowdy rags! The kids loved twirling them around and Brooklyn sat next to a woman who was a Phillies fan. She told the woman that she hoped the Phillies didn't get any home runs so the Rockies could win. OH BOY my silly Brooky!

Spa Day!

July 9th 

After Amanda and Dan left for their vacation to Georgia, Ashlyn slept over and we had a girly Spa Day! Avocado facials and manis and pedis! Such fun!

While Jillian was still here, I helped her make Addison a scripture case like this one I made for Brooklyn. I got the idea from a friend of mine that make one for me!

After Jill had to leave, Amanda and i took the kiddos to several parks one Saturday. What fun to Park HOP!
