Brooklyn and her class earned a trip to subway and picnic in the park because they each completed 25 book reports throughout the year.
These kids did an awesome job because they weren't just written out book reports. They were creative and made their reports into board games, travel brochures, book marks and even hanging mobiles. I just loved Brooklyn's teachers this year. Heather Weis was so fun and really got the kids excited about projects and learning! I am going to really miss Brook having her as a teacher.

Well! If I had been keeping up with your blogs, I would know how the situation stood with schooling. Sounds like Brooklyn had a great year! Way to go!
oh wow Aunt Rosemary how much things can change in a short year! Brooklyn had a wonderful third grade but while in fourth, she was just learning things that we felt were very inappropriate for a 10 year old. Its just the way the world is now. We have decided, and for the very final time to teach our kids at home through an online k12 curriculum again. Yes it will be hard but I feel that this whole year has been the spirit's way of banging me over the head with a 2x4. Hard, yes. But so worth keeping our children's innocence and values!
