Bakersfield, CA Reception!

July 27,2012

Shayla and Kevin's reception was in Bakersfield. I thought all the decorations were beautiful and exactly how Shayla envisioned. There was pie in stead of cake and some yummy salads. Lemonade was in mason jars.
Brooklyn and Ashlyn both caught the bouquet! There was country music and lots of visiting. I thought it turned out very well.

Beverly Hills and Hollywood Blvd.

After the Wedding, we decided to tour LA a little. We drove down Rodeo Drive, some of Beverly Hills and then parked and walked down Hollywood Boulevard.
It was almost better than Disney land. There were so many Characters on the street. The little kids were in heaven!
Our favorites were the little smurf guy and the puss n' boots! Too hilarious!

Shayla and Kevin's Wedding Day!

Shayla and Kevin were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple!
The kids looked so cute in their turquoise and poppy colors. The sealing was beautiful, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. They are such a cute couple!

Bridal Luncheon and Endowment Day!

July 25th

We arrived at the Los Angeles Temple housing around lunch time. As soon as we unloaded the car, the girls hopped in the car to take shayla out for her bridal luncheon. The men were sweet enough to take the kids and find them something to eat.
When we got back, we met with Kevin's family for a minute before getting ready for the Endowment session at the temple. Courtney and Preston were angels to take on all 8 of the kids for us. The kiddos sure had fun with them!

Vegas day 2!

July 24, 2012

This day, we spent the whole day walking up and down the strip exploring some of the neatest hotels! Brook and Ashlyn loved the one with the Eiffel tower. I loved the Venetian with the gondola rides. Caesar's palace was huge! We also toured the M&M factory. Before turning in, we all road up to the top of the Stratosphere to see the view and the crazy rides up there! What a fun and exhausting day!!!

Las Vegas!

July 23,2012

We finally made it to Las Vegas!
The 1st thing that hit me was how many hotels there were. Also the advertisements were everywhere. I caught myself telling my kids to not look left or don't look down. I can tell you one thing, I will not be bringing my kids here again. We got in later so we focused on getting dinner. The pizza place in the Stratosphere where we stayed was really good! Way expensive, but tasty. After a short walk, the kids were so tuckered out that we went to bed. Later on, Jer's sister and her family joined us but I was already asleep by the time they got there.
